Question:
Another question comes to mind in reference to the trinity of God teaching. You have mentioned that the most important word in the phrase Son of God is just the word SON. Since God is one (echad) as the S'hma declares, are we to understand that "a Son is given" is referring to God as Son as opposed to Son of God which carries the meaning of a second being subordinate to the Father and consequently the Holy Spirit the third subordinate being which by some magic formula are all ONE?
Norma
Answer:
Dear Norma,
Your questions are very pertinent and I think that you would enjoy our CD Series “Who is Jesus Anyway” in which this subject is treated in some detail. But, keep in mind that Yeshua was the lamb of God that was slain before the foundation of the world. It remained to become a historical reality but was an ever present reality with God from the beginning.
Best wishes,
Roy Blizzard
