Question:
In the Bible, it says that if we deny Christ, He will deny us. In Revelations, it also says that in the end times if we deny him and carry the mark of the beast, we will go to hell. However, during the time of Christ's arrest and His crucifixion, Peter denied Christ three times yet he is one of the most significant of the disciples. What if someone denies Christ to be able to take care of their children? Will He deny them?
Answer:
The question that you asked is not only interesting, but important and certainly for most Christians, not all that easy to answer. However, if you look at the Passage in Translation for this week, I think when you ponder the implications it should assist in answering your question. It might also be helpful to understand that there is no such thing as an unpardonable sin as long as a man seeks pardon. If, of course, the individual is an apostate, then that is another question indeed.
